"Legacies" was for all those who loved "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals" a real godsend, in fact it is the spin-off and sequel of both.
The TV series was in fact produced by the same creator of the two prequels and is set in the magical and mysterious Mystic Falls, where again, there is a need for people with special powers who can save humans. The main character is Hope Mikaelson, daughter of Klaus Mikaelson and Hayley Marshall, a young maiden who has a legacy of vampires, werewolves and witches behind her, making her one of the most powerful hybrids in town. But in addition to her, the events that happen to two other girls who attend the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted are made known: the Saltzman twins.
One of the themes dealt with in the TV series is the difficulty these beginners have in juggling their supernatural powers, which however useful they are make things complicated both a in their daily lives and on more important occasions. In the cast of the series one can meet old acquaintances from previous programs, such as the character of Alaric Saltzman, but at the same time one has the pleasure of making new acquaintances, in fact for the most part the actors are young and fresh, but incredibly talented.
The show has been so successful that the network smartly decided not to let it get away, announcing in 2020 the renewal for a new and exciting season, in Italy unfortunately we will have to wait until spring 2021 to enjoy it fully. In any case, the audience was not disappointed by such a series, although fan expectations were quite high, given the prequels already mentioned, most likely everyone who had a part in the project will be filled with satisfaction.
