From all this, Avengers: Age of Ultron retrieves those fears related to one's robotic creation rebelling, becoming a threat to the once-creator man. Although this concept even goes back to Mary Shelley's absolute masterpiece, namely Frankstein, where a man believes himself to be God by creating a sentient being, but the latter rebels, Age of Ultron is an MCU film. It must be able to simplify every theme, every philosophical cue since it is an audiovisual product aimed at the masses. Released in 2015, in the memory of the MCU Age of Ultron is remembered as the weakest of the Avengers chapters. It does not have the grandeur and simplicity of the first one but neither does it have a truly charismatic villain, in fact Ultron despite the remarkable premise is really forgettable for various issues. The motive behind his actions is to exterminate the human race since it is the greatest plague to Planet Earth. As effective as this idea is, it is really a fairly trivial motivation that comes together with the film's biggest issue: the balance between the characters. If the first Avengers made this aspect a great asset, Age Of Ultron fails to achieve it again. If, for example, Black Widow and Hawkeye are deepened, Thor appears too little explored compared to the other heroes on the team. On top of all that, new characters such as Scarlet, Quicksilver, and to some extent Vision are really underutilized. Age Of Ultron despite its flaws is again a very successful blockbuster that has as its task to entertain, to be a pure popcorn movie. In these latter aspects it is truly remarkable.
